Why you should hold your Wedding @ the SEA Aquarium in Singapore.
So, I recently performed at the most beautiful wedding yet,
within the comforts of one of the top tourist destination in Singapore - SEA Aquarium.
Now, i know that the aquarium has been a popular choice for many corporate functions & company DnDs,
but THIS Wedding, was a whole new underwater wonderland.
Believe me,
i perform for an average of at least one wedding per week,
and this one exceeded all expectations.
Anyone who has been to the SEA Aquarium will know that the last observatory,
where the humongous aquarium for the Open Ocean Habitat stand,
is the perfect ending to the aquarium tour,
and probably worth the entrance fee by itself as an attraction.
Imagine that space being transformed into a dining hall with
raining glitter,
tiffany chairs,
underwater-themed decorations,
starfish and shellfish trinkets,
all to set up for a backdrop of soaring manta-rays and squadrons of marine life frolicking in their natural habitat.
No wonder my Facebook post of this photo garnered so many likes.
So here are some reasons why you should totally hold your wedding at the RWS SEA Aquarium, if you happen to be pretty rich.
Screw flowers and half-hearted tea lights!
With a backdrop like this,
cake cutting and champagne pouring has never looked more magnificent.
With a backdrop like this,
cake cutting and champagne pouring has never looked more magnificent.
You are allowed to have ridiculously pretty table decor,
like starfish centrepieces, and reflective lazy susans,
and yet they will not look over the top.
Tiffany Chairs look better in an aquarium than on a lawn.
And you get a sky full of stars, indoors.
Instagrammers be snapping' with glee.
Shots like these will probably garner a tonne of likes.

Meanwhile, on my own Instagram...
I just had to!
You can place a band at the top of the space to perform for your guests.
You can even get to sing a song for them.
At least that was what the bride did, she did a special surprise performance for her hubby :)
And with the tiered ballroom, everyone was able to have a grand view of the bride singing.
You are free to roam around the other areas of the aquarium,
champagne glass in hand.
You get to champagne-tease fishes.
The stroll towards the ballroom will be lined with mini aquariums and different
underwater habitat displays,
so much so that you would already have taken 13942309854 pictures
before you even reach the final destination.
The build up to the climax is important, they say :)

DT in Dalian, 15Nov!
If Dalian is a china lady,
she would be the demure and romantic one.
Beautiful both on the outside and on the inside.
She's prim and proper, wholesome and clean,
compared to her other sisters, Beijing and Shanghai.
Long and short of it,
I love Dalian!
It's really nothing quite like the other polluted China cities.
Even the people there seemed more cultured, unlike the more rural parts of China.
It could also be because it was fall and autumn leaves were everywhere!!
As usual i didn't have much time to explore,
so i decided to take a stroll at the park opposite my hotel one fine morning,
to take in the Autumn fresh air and experience fall!!
Setting out!

Performance with the SMU Chinese Orchestra!
I am really honoured to have performed for the SMU Chinese Orchestra annual concert!
And this time, i was personally invited by my ex-conductor, Mr Quek Ling Qiong,
all the way back from secondary school 13 years ago!!
We had a short rehearsal before the performance,
and it definitely brought back fond memories of my Chinese Orchestra days.
Mr Quek has truly always been our favourite conductor;
he has this sense of humour which makes group practices always enjoyable,
yet he knows exactly when to be strict with us so that he can command the respect he deserves.
Showday!
I was very blessed to have my kind sponsors -
Hairstyling - J7 Image (it lasted literally from morning till night!!) www.j7image.com

18Jan David Tao World Tour in Genting
It has been AGESSS since i last step foot in Genting!
I was so looking forward to the theme park,
but guess what, it is and will be closed for renovation for 3 years :(
Apparently it will be taken over by 20th Century Fox to be constructed into a movie themed park!
Foggy and chilly, we were on cloud 9!
Literally..

21Dec David Tao World Tour in HongKong!
This Hong Kong work trip was a BLAST!
The food was FABULOUS,
the night scene was happening,
and out of the 13 shows i've done, the hongkong audience was the best so far!!!
I LOVE HONG KONG.
Fab fab fab hotpot-ing under winter conditions is LOVE <3
We were very fortunate to have HK friend, Michael, to take us out for some authentic delicacies! :D
P.S: Michael here is THE top monitor concert programmer!
He has worked for all the biggest stars in the mandarin pop scene,
He has worked for all the biggest stars in the mandarin pop scene,
like leehom, JJLin, Jacky Cheung etc.
He's the man!
So hungry nomnomnom..
I never would've imagined how good hotpot can be, until i tried this.
So we wolfed down so much food i woke up in the middle of the night to puke -_-
#truestory #firstworldproblems #ifeelsobadforthestarvingafricankids
Here's some drunken prawns, still alive and kickin', drowned in chinese liquer.
We were told to leave them in the jar for 30mins before we boil them alive.
Very humane.
So i did, I boiled them alive :(
If it's any consolation, they were really awesome!!!!!
Night lights. Signboard haven.
Went solo walking around the terminal..
Dim sum brunch next morning was the
BEST I'VE EVER HAD.
YUMYUM.
cheong fan, roasted pork, char siew, egg tart, siewmai, fried liu sha bun, sesame balls..
kill me already.
And when i thought i couldn't go on any further,
i ended off with the best chinese dessert - ginger and melts-in-your-mouth sesame rice balls. o.O

14Dec David Tao World Tour in Guangzhou!!
It was our last stop in China,
and as strange as it sounds,
i will be missing all the good and bad things that came along with touring in this nation;
the disposable stinky toilets, the bad food, the loud but actually warm china taxi uncles etc.
I kinda like China, in a touristy manner :)
Always a pleasure onboard SQ..
they mounted mistletoes to welcome the festive cheer!!
All i wanted for Christmas was.. a hot guy to sit next to me under the mistletoe!!!
Another outdoor concert venue..
My first singing under winter conditions..
It was only about 15degs but the summer girl in me was already wearing 4 layers
and still feeling cold!

15Nov David Tao World Tour in Fuzhou!
Fuzhou pitstop was one of the best this tour,
because the boss specially arranged for a hotspring getaway for the band.
Window seats gave me a bird's eye view
Lyrics writing on the plane..
Reached our villa at night
and was greeted by a hugeass bed with romantic dim lights,
comfy duvet and sheets..
and the room all by myself :D
Shiok!!
I prepared black mask for this occasion hahaa
The next morning i woke up to a mountainous view :D
A look outta the window..
